Save Music Online #LoveMusic
We are fighting for the best possible future for everyone who works in the music industry and who relies on music to make a living. There are some people and tech firms out there trying every trick in the book to block a change that would mean a fairer deal for pretty much everyone in the UK music business.
We urgently need your help to stop that happening and to ensure musicians, creators and everyone in our world-beating music industry are not denied a fair reward for their work.
There will be a crucial vote at the European Parliament on 12 September on the Copyright Directive, which aims to boost the tiny amounts that some tech firms pay out of their enormous profits for music played online.
Ahead of that vote, we are launching a major campaign and need your help to spread a positive message about our fantastic music industry and to counter some of the negative and untrue tales about what the Copyright Directive will mean for the internet.
We’ve called this campaign: #LoveMusic
The creative industry is a vibrant ecosystem that supports many creators.
Music creators are like butterflies in this rainforest - beautiful and delicate.
Yet, some of the global giants, using outdated laws and unfair practices, are wasting our creative futures; threatening music’s vibrant sustainability by not fairly compensating all creators for their work.
Creators need protection or the world of music will suffer.
The butterfly is a symbol of the fragility of the ecosystem and that's why we have adopted it as our campaign logo.
Join us to support music creators. Sign The Petition to help save music online before the EU vote on 12th September 2018.
